BRAZOS VALLEY REHABILITATION CENTER
In 1957, a group of local citizens founded the Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center. BVRC is a local non-profit outpatient treatment facility dedicated to the mission of helping people with disabilities lead independent lives regardless of their ability to pay for their services.
BVRC is located at 1318 Memorial Drive in Bryan. BVRC is governed by a 22 member Board of Directors who volunteer their time to determine the policies of the facility. BVRC also has a Medical Advisory Board, comprised of local physicians, that assists in quality review and offers medical advice to our staff. Our Medical Director is a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and assists our team of professionals in developing and evaluating the overall rehabilitation plan for each patient.
The Center provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, hippotherapy (the use of horses in therapy) aquatic therapy and sensory integration therapy. Our highly qualified, caring team of professionals is at the top of their professional fields and have the most current training available. Approximately $300,000 of the annual budget comes from local supporters including: The United Way, Children's Miracle Network, the Dansby Grant Foundation, local estates, and our own fund-raising events. These events include: The Celebration of Life Telethon, The Swing Fore It Golf Shootout, the Christmas in Aggieland Christmas Ornaments, the Community Christmas Tree and the Community Challenge.
